Gallery walls are one of those design staples that will never really go out of style. This workshop guides you through the interior design trend of creating a Gallery Wall. How to find your inspiration and a practical hands-on approach to creating three pieces of art yourself, to begin your collection. All within an environment that helps you express yourself and nurtures your wellbeing.

Discover your personal style

We start with how to find your personal style. Get inspiration for how you can combine posters and fine art to create a stylish gallery wall in your home. You’ll be shown inspiration rooms to get ideas on how to use posters and prints in different combinations together with colours, interior styles and materials. Anna will teach you the strategies that the top interior designers use to know with confidence exactly what style will suit your personal space. This is an exercise in creating a mood-board to concept your overall look before you start.

Create three artworks of your own

Neutral shapes and artistic vibes: You’ll illustrate with abstract shapes and lines. Drawing shapes with black and white charcoal & crayons on a coloured textured paper background. Inspired by nature - think beach pebbles and palm leaves.

Drawing with Scissors: In the style of Matisse you’ll use scissors to cut shapes and forms inspired by the naked figure. Anna will show you how she creates her signature style of art piece that inspired by river swimming

Quotes that motivate you: Here we have a chance to choose a word or a short quote, and Anna will talk you through how to be relaxed with your own handwriting style to create a piece of art using Calligraphy - the art of beautiful handwriting.

Displaying your work
Anna will take you through the process of how you can print, and frame these works for an ‘art gallery’ quality finish or for an smaller budget, how to use simple tape to hang your finished art.
